Is it just me, or is it true that we enjoy watching Pakistani movies more than Bollywood movies now? It sometimes looks to me like Bollywood movies have the same story line now, they all have really expected plot twists now.
That just gives you every reason to watch Pakistani movies this Eid, whether in the Cinema or at home. There are 2 new Pakistani movies being released this Eid, which you definitely SHOULD watch if you don’t have anything special to do on the second or third day of Eid.
Other than that, here’s the list of movies you need to watch:
Na Maloom Afraad 2:
The prequel was a success, and now we see trailers of the second part going viral on the internet. It looks really funny, and looks like once again Fahad Mustafa, Javed Sheikh and Mohsin Abbas will be taking the lead in this movie, along with Urwa Hocane Haniya Amir and Marina Khan.
It looks like this movie is going to be a good laugh for the comedy loving audience, and you might even want to watch the first part now if you haven’t seen it already!
Punjab Nahi Jaungi:
Punjab Nahi Jaungi looks like a comparatively serious movie, but nevertheless, looks amazing as we watch the trailer. Starring Hamayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat and Urwa Hocane along with Ahmed Ali Butt and Saba Hameed, lets see larki ko Punjab kese lejaya jata hai?
BOL was released back in 2011, and was a huge success. It throws light upon the social issues going on in our Pakistani society.
Although most people have already watched it, if you haven’t, you might as well watch it this Eid. It is a roller coaster of emotions, starring Atif Aslam, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malik, Iman Ali etc.
Khuda Kay Liye:
Khuda Kay Lliye, produced by Shoaib Mansoor and released back in 2007 remains one of the best Pakistani movies to ever be released even ten years later.
Starring Iman Ali, Fawad Kkhan and Shaan Shahid, it focuses on young Pakistanis pursuing the field of acting in Pakistan. A treat to watch, definitely.
Yeh Jawani Phir Nahi Aani:
Once again, Yeh Jawani Phir Nahi Aani is a personal favorite of mine, and I never get tired of watching it. It is comical, you get fits of laughter while watching the movie, and it might slightly give you the “feels” as well.
Hamayun Saeed, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mmehwish Hayat, Sohai Ali, Ahmed Butt etc are the main leads in this movie. If you want a fun filled Eid, then you should definitely watch this movie with your folks at home!
