As Eid-ul-Fitr is approaching us, all designers have started launching their Festive Eid Collections. However, the most awaited collection by Elan is finally out and will be launched nationwide on the 5th of June, 2017 and will be present on retailers as mentioned on https://elan.pk/

Elan was established in 2006, and earned fame at quite an early stage due to the delicacy of their luxurious and elegant designs. Their detailed and beautifully embroidered evening and bridal wears were just the perfect wear for those who wanted to stand out amongst a crowd. Soon Elan blessed us with its pret and unstitched lawn collections as well.

Khadija Shah, the creative director at Elan, has indeed proved our wait to be blissful, and has launched an Eid festive collection for 2017 which is jaw dropping. While two years ago Elan’s Eid collection was all the rage, looks like this year it won’t be any different. This is the second time in a year that we are left in awe staring at the beautiful designs Elan has in stores for us. Initially, Elan’s spring/summer lawn collection created all the hype as it was sold out in under 3 minutes online!

For her lawn collection, she envisioned the women wearing Elan’s lawn to be wanderers. For this Eid Collection, she has brought back our cultural heritage as she adds a blend of grace and elegance, with the perfect touch of being modern. Having seven unique and beautiful designs with embroideries different on each plush fabric, this collection has been paired up with silk dupattas within a range of Rs. 13,990 to Rs. 15,990.

Khadija has quite specifically explained to us her inspiration behind the designs of this beautiful collection:

“I have always been nostalgic about the yesteryears when things were much simpler and refined — when elegance was almost a part of our heritage and our language and prose was generously doused with poetry. In that precarious age between being an adolescent and a teenager, I remember attending weddings and seeing women of my mother’s and grandmother’s age with rose coloured lenses. At that age, they seemed like “Begums” walking on a bed of petals; they had such an eloquent grace. They all looked different from one another. Everyone had their own style, yet they were all beautiful to look at. In our new line, the Élan Festive, it is precisely that quality of grace that I wished to capture, but make it more current and modern.”

For this festive collection, Elan has collaborated with L’oreal Paris makeup, and have introduced “Eid Makeup looks 2017”. L’oreal is a leading makeup brand in Pakistan, and by the looks of it, the collaboration of these two brands together for a combined shoot looks absolutely gorgeous.

There are three different makeup looks which have been highlighted by Makeup Expert, Saima Rashid, based on the latest makeup trends as seen on Paris Fashion week, March 2017.

This is the makeup look called, “Colour me Summer” which focuses on glamorous eyes and highlights the lips with a bold red colour.

The second makeup look is called “Blush bloom”, which focuses on enhancing your facial contours through different shades of blush and pinks.

The third look introduced to us as a trending makeup look for this Summer, comprises of nudes. “Dewy fresh” involves glowing skin with nude eyes, and nudes lips to perfectly match the beige and earthly colours of the whole collection.

The best thing about this collection is the fact that it comes in an unstitched collection, so you can get a suit or two in your hands to get them stitched in trendy summer Eid designs by yourself! We wish Elan and especially Khadijah Shah great luck and success with the launch of this collection.
