Geo films that were about to gain the rights to release in Pakistan backed off as the summary for approval was not moved timely before the prime minister. The one week delayed release of the film in Pakistan could have cost the company a loss of PKR 160 million, 8 million for license and 8 million for distributing to the cinema’s circuit in Pakistan.
The reason is that now the movie had already made to cinema screens in India, U.A.E, and Canada, viewers can find many alternative platforms to watch the film rather than looking for theaters.
Dangal that is in fierce competition with Salman Khan’s blockbuster Sultan is receiving appreciation from all over the world due to its unique story plot and brilliant performance.
