Ban on Indian filmsPrime minister secretariat has finally approved the exhibition of Indian films in Pakistani cinemas. Film viewers would be able to watch the recently released movies from today.

The first movie that would make to cinema screens is the Kaabil, not Raees because former has already been imported, Censor board would review it today and then approve for release. Advance booking for the first show which is expected to be in the evening today has already started, and fans would be able to watch it.

The ban on Indian films that was imposed by cinema owners on September was a reaction to ban on Pakistan artists followed by a recent wave of India-Pakistan clash. Earlier, it was expected this prohibition would be lifted at the time Amir Khan’s blockbuster Dangal was releasing.

Shahrukh Khan’s Raees which is Pakistani artist Mahira Khan’s debut Bollywood film and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil both are the big projects of the new year and fans in Pakistan were also waiting to enjoy them on the cinema screen. Now, after the official ban has been lifted, there is no way that people would resist their urge to get their hand on some classic Bollywood entertainment, they had been from months.
