Governor of Sindh Justice Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui has passed away in Karachi. He succeeded Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad who remained the governor for 14 years. He was the 31st Governor of Sindh.
Justice Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui took charge of the post on 11 November 2016 and died on 11 January 2017 and served for the two months. His health was not sound even at the time of his appointment; he was admitted to hospital due to chest pain.
Justice Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui was also the chief justice of Supreme Court. He had also defied to take the oath under PCO (Provisional Constitutional Order).
