Here is the good news for Misbah-ul-Haq fans, the captain is going to lead for another two years and be a part of the team for two more years.
Chairman PCB Shehreyar Khan has told that board has requested Misbah to play for the team till 2018, as he is very well-composed, balanced, calculative and fit enough to maintain a graceful presence in ground.
Another reason for asking Misbah for extension is to take time for testing the other players who can serve as a better option. Chairman PCB is of the opinion that board is available with options other than Misbah, but it just wants to further test their abilities.
Before this, PCB chairman mentioned that it would consider the Misbah-ul-Haq’s extension after monitoring his performance in test series in New Zealand and Australia.
Chairman also commented on the new independent status of PSL and told that it wouldn’t affect the PCB’s earnings anyway.
In the last season, PCB had given money to PSL, and it not only refunded the principal but also earned an amount equal to US$ 2.5 million.
Talking on the matter of cricketers like Muhammad Asif and Salman Butt, he told that both these cricketers are eligible for playing after they play the first class t and selectors would decide when to pick them up for the team further.
Shehreyar Khan also expressed his sympathy about Danish Kinneria and advised him to file an appeal before ECB (England Cricket Board) as he was banned by them.
