Muhammad Irfan has been cleared by the ACU (Anti-corruption unit) and not suspended for the from the PSL (Pakistan Supreme League).

Muhammad Irfan has rejoined the Islamabad United and he would play the match representing his team.

Earlier, media reported that Irfan was suspended from the tournament and he would come back to Pakistan like Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif, PSL players who have been dismissed from the events over corruption charges.

Names of two more players have surfaced for allegations of corruption while media is claiming that more players are on PCB’s watchlist.

News of the cricketers being involved in spot-fixing scandals caused tension among the PSL fans as social media erupted with fuming posts and comments where users recorded their concerns regarding the fresh scandals.

Involvement of PSL players in corruption cases is also making fans to wonder if they are watching a game powered by true sports spirit or it is something else. Investigations to probe the culprits are on their way.
