Pakistan is celebrating its 77th National day to mark the anniversary of promise the nation made to get a separate homeland where they could exercise their lives according to their will, after getting rid of British colonialism.

National day celebrations that aim at exhibiting strength glorifying the culture of Pakistan and portraying a courageous nation started midnight with the firearms work at Greater Iqbal Park, the place where the leaders of the independence movement passed the historic Pakistan Resolution on 23rd March 1940.

21- gun salute in Federal capital and 31- salute in all the provincial capitals marked the start of the day.  Then started the biggest event, The National Day Parade in Shakarparian, Islamabad which is underway currently. President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain is presiding the Parade.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Defence Minister Khwaja Asif are also present at the venue.

Military Parade that is an exhibition of Pakistan’s strength to defend its borders and a way to celebrate being in a free land represents the union of an entire nation. Citizens who are not present at the venue, remain glued to their TV screens for witnessing the spectacular scenes of military units marching in the ground, bird-like sky-dives of fighter jets and representation of all the Pakistani ethnic cultures.

This time National day Parade is also showing Pakistan’s strong ties with its neighbors and other friend countries as squads from Chinese Military and Turkish Military are also participating.
