It was a proud moment for Pakistan and especially for the Prime Minister Imran Khan when Pakistan Citizen Portal App was ranked number 2 in the world leaving United State at number 3.
At the World Government Summit in Dubai, the mobile app made to the top three positions out of 4,646 mobile apps from some 87 countries.
The mobile app that has a parallel web portal as well won the 2nd spot in the “Best Citizen Service Delivery Competition.”
Qlue Smart City App from Indonesia came to number 1 position while the US captured the 3rd spot.
Imran Khan, who also attended the summit along with various other world’s leaders, joyously tweeted about the achievement.
The tweet highlighted the fact that it was the first-ever government launched the app in the country that has been recognized at such a level.
Pakistan Citizen Portal app scored 4.5 ratings out of 5 on the play store from the public, and it stood seventh highest number in the google search category.
He further mentioned that that app was developed in record 45 days by a team from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and so far it has helped resolved 250,000 public complaints out of 420,000.
