Here comes a statement from the DG NAB (National Accountability Bureau), Aliya Rashid’s statement revealed that primary cause of the corruption in demands from the wife and Children.
According to revelations made by Chairman NAB in 2014, the daily corruption figures in Pakistan have mounted to Rs 12 billion. This means that 1000 of billions escape out from the reach of the right person to keep the pockets of corrupt people warm so that their children and families don’t complaint.
Insights provided by the NAB official are thought-provoking indeed. They ask for considering examples that prove that wife and children are a major precursor for prompting a man to earn money through unfair means and ways.
Perhaps, wives don’t know that promoting their husband for more corruption would encourage them to have more wives too.
Nomination of PM Nawaz Sharif in Panama Case
The statement finds itself quite true in the case of honorary Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who has no mention in Panama Papers as a direct holder of any offshore company but he is caught in all this mess and compelled to take rounds of the court because his children have offshore companies.
The missing necklace of Turkish President’s wife
The missing necklace of the Turkish President Recep Tayyab Erdogan’s wife that made headlines after it was found within the custody of the Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani also makes a strong case against the wives who invoke the spirit of corruption in their otherwise innocent and pure husbands. Had that pretty necklace was not much precious and beautiful enough to be fascinated by the Wife of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani why he had even thought of keeping this state’ asset in his private possession. Off course, the honorable Prime Minister who was dismissed for contempt against court had fallen a trap to her wife’s ruthless whims.
Corruption Charges against President Asif Ali Zardari
The example of the ex- president Asif Ali Zardari makes it quite obvious that wives are always behind their husbands who face allegations of corruption against them. If the ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto was not his wife how the man could be in a position to accept bribes and earn money through illegal means and then stuff the Swiss Banks that never ever speak to anyone.
Apart from all three main iconic examples of corruption in Pakistan, there are certain other phenomena that simply corroborate the claims of Aliya Rashid. Mostly poor who are sole breadwinners for a family of 6 to 10 and even more members fail to get any chance of filling their treasure chests and are compelled to live in the state of poverty.
DG NAB has surely failed in highlighting the major causes of corruption that are greed to earn more, position of earning more and capacity to earn through illegal means.
