Sahir Lodhi and the TV One management has been ordered by the PEMRA to apologize from the viewers on 24th June 2017 on Saturday. The channel’s administration has also been directed to especially refer to the viewers that the apology complies with PEMRA’s orders.

The controversial show was aired on 31st May 2017 and Sahir Lodhi faced great social media’s wrath for using improper words for Quaid-e-Azam in his transmission. He also harassed and burst out on a woman participant in the same show for no reason, that was followed by extreme people’s outrage too.

The social media demanded PEMRA to take notice of these cheap stunts to control the misuse of electronic media by TV hosts. As these attention-seeking stunts are carried out by the hosts, only to get ratings.

Later, a show cause notice had been issued by PEMRA to the channel and Sahir Lodhi to justify their position on the complaint against them. They were asked to submit their written reply on 5th June 2017.

The channel’s administration was also asked to appear for a personal hearing through channel’s any representative on the same day. Consequently, both the channel and host have been ordered to apologize for their misconduct and improper use of words regarding the founder of the nation.

PEMRA has aptly played its due role and indicated that TV channels and their hosts are not allowed to carry out any misconduct in the name of these Ramzan transmissions. Neither anyone can misuse the platform of the electronic media for getting their crappy goals fulfilled.
