Supreme Court ban Alchol

Supreme Court of Pakistan would hear the case on allegations of Panama leaks against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the priority basis, considering his chief position in Government.

During the hearing of Panamagate case, on Monday, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali remarked that there were names of 400 people in Panama Leaks. Listening to the cases against all of them required a 20 years plan, that’s why the case against PM, would be heard on a priority basis as he is the ruler.

He said this in answer to an appeal that asked for including in trial all those people, whose names were in the Panam Leak.

Chief Justice also gave the example of Hazrat Umer (R.A), that how he presented himself before the court for a trial, even being the caliph of Madinah. CJ also said, ” Position of PM is different, and he has presented himself for trial, we are not the king here, and wouldn’t only pick and choose. We would only do what is permitted by law”.

Chief Justice also ordered the government’s lawyer Salman Aslam Butt to present the documentary proof of the responses on next Monday. While dismissing the government’s appeal to submit documents after 15 days, he told that government already has the proofs, and we want to get over with the trial as soon as possible.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif has denied holding an offshore company through her responses. She told that she is the trustee of two companies Nelson and Nascom and does not make any benefit from them. According to responses submitted by Hussain Nawaz, he is doing business outside the country while being within limitations of the constitution.

He also remarked on the performance of national institutes by saying that investigative institutes like FIA, NAB and FBR have failed to see the discrepancies on the state level.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa told that PM. Nawaz Sharif has already said to resign from his post if court proves him guilty.
