Rahat Fateh Ali Khan as ambassador

Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, has appointed the Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, as an ambassador of the British Asian Trust on the occasion of fourth annual dinner of the Trust at Guildhall London.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan thanked Prince Charles while saying that he felt honored for being an ambassador. On that eve, he also sang a heart throbbing song of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (Tery Bina Nahi Lagda Dil Mera).

British Asian Trust was founded by Prince Charles in 2007 in collaboration with business leaders; the organization aims to alleviate poverty in South Asia while empowering people. Trust works for the betterment of livelihood, education, mental health and against the trafficking.

Other celebrities that attended the event included the Bollywood designer Minesh Malhotra.
