Yet another defamation suit has been filed by the Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif, against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan.

About Rs.10 billion defamation suit has been filed over the allegations of the bribe offered to Imran Khan by his and Shahbaz Sharif’s mutual friend.

Imran Khan while addressing the gathering and in the Ary News show Off the Record, alleged that he was offered a bribe of total Rs.10 billion to back off from money laundering case against Sharifs.

Soon after the allegations, PML(N) publicly denied the Khan’s allegations and asked him to reveal the identity of the ‘mutual friend.’

However, Imran Khan back then said that he would reveal the identity of the person only in the court but up till now, he hasn’t disclosed any name.

The lawsuit by Shahbaz Sharif has been filed in the Lahore High Court and the suit declared Imran Khan’s allegations as false and slanderous.

Azfar Sultan, the Additional District and Sessions Judge, issued orders to seek the reply from Imran Khan on July 21.

Furthermore, PTI chairman responded to the suit and said he doesn’t have a big amount of Rs.10 billion even.

He also said that he eagerly wants to face Shahbaz Sharif in the court as he has to ask many questions from the CM.
