After the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif, in the PML-N party’s parliamentary meeting, it has been decided to nominate Shahbaz Sharif as a candidate for the seat of Prime Minister.

In the meeting, it has also announced that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi who remained Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources would be appointed as caretaker Premier for forty-five days term.

Shahbaz Sharif is also the current Chief Minister of Punjab, and if he would become the Prime Minister, then options for the post of CM Punjab will also be considered.

In the meeting, Nawaz Sharif also stated that many times the PML-N Government got overthrown, but the nation always rejects such conspiracies.

However, ex-PM earlier also expressed the wish of seeing his younger brother as next Premier of the country.

On the other hand, the name of the Chief Minister of Punjab is not decided yet, and reportedly, the session of the National Assembly is likely to be called on Monday to elect the new PM.

Further, Shahbaz Sharif will contest the election from NA-120 for the chair of Premiership.

However, it was also predicted and reported before that CM Punjab might become the next head of the government.
