Punjab police constable who dared to raise his voice against corruption and incompetence of bureaucracy on social media is compelled to sell fruits as he has not received his salary for the last seven months.
Deen Muhammad who earlier served in Bahawalpur is now selling fruits in front of DPO office as his department didn’t welcome him after he was transferred to Police Lines Lahore,
The policeman turned rebel earlier, challenged the qualification of CM Punjab Shehbaz Sharif but this time he has announced to contest elections against the CM in his constituency.
According to media reports, the angry policeman says that no office is willing to accept him as a government employee. Thus he is compelled to sell fruits for earning a livelihood.
In February 2017, Deen Muhammad lamented on this flawed system, corruption, and slaughter of merit in government departments including Education and Police. His video went viral on social media and caught the attention of officials who later arrested him and allegedly made him a victim of violence.
Due to his rather confused stance in the video public didn’t take him seriously and labeled him a mad person. Deen Muhammad who is the father of four kids is now suffering financial crises. His action to sell fruits right in front of DPO office is a protest against the cold attitude of Police towards him.
