Akshay Kumar seemed to be in real trouble because his upcoming movie “Toilet Aik Prem Katha” has become a controversial piece; as it has been hit by legal notice, twice.
Firstly, a short film-maker comes with the accusation of stealing the scenes on Toilet Aik Prem Katha from his feature documentary.
And this time, it has been banged with a legal notice for violation of the Copyright Act by a local film-maker, Vipin Tiwari.
He has a stance that the newly released song of Toilet, “Hans Mat Pagli” is a copy of the song from his recently released Rajasthan regional film.
The film-maker apprised that “Hans Mat Pagli Pyar Ho Jayega” was one of the hit songs of his film “Laadli” that released on 7th of April.
“The song was approved by the Indian Film and TV Producers Council (IFTPC) in our favor and it is registered with us till now,” Vipin Tiwari said.
He also sent the complaint to IFTPC and they asked for clarification from Neeraj Panday, co-producer of Akshay’s movie.
Back to back, two legal notices hitting Akshay’s movie have raised serious questions on the credibility of the film-makers.
These notices, making the film clearly controversial, will not only affect the producers but can infringe the cast’s and especially superhero Akshay’s reputation.
Also, “Jab Harry Met Sejal” of Shah Rukh and Anushka is releasing in the same month of August, few days before Toilet.
So, the build-up of big Khan’s movie and these notices, collectively, could harm the success and smooth release of the Akshay’s movie.
