Jamat ud Dawah leader, Hafiz Saeed who is detained has claimed in a video interview that government kept him in house arrest under foreign pressure and informed him about this.
“I am under house arrest due to American pressure, as Trump has become the new US president and he wants to strengthen his ties with Modi, Indian Prime Minister, both the India and the US have shared benefits,” said Hafiz Saeed in a video message to the members of his party.
“We termed 2017 the name of Kashmir we conducted rallies, seminars and raised voice for the Kashmir issue”.
Earlier, ISPR said that Hafiz Saeed was kept under house arrest due to national interest and there was no any international pressure on the government.
Hafiz Saeed also expressed that his party always stood with Pakistan, It carried relief work in different parts, it supported his brothers in Balochistan and tried to solve the problems of folks in Sindh.
He also equated himself with the leaders of Kashmiri movement likes Asya Andrabi, Syed Ali Gillani and Yasin Malik who are very often detained due to their firm stance on the independence of Jammu Kashmir.
“We are echoing the sentiments of Kashmir Movement leaders, and both are heading in the same direction, I am happy on my arrest for the same cause.”
He also advised his followers to not to worry and keep calm while avoiding to indulge in any illegal activity but never to forget the stance of Kashmir.
JuD members claim that arrest of their head was a plan to sabotage the Kashmir cause.
According to media reports, the member of JuD organization has threatened to start an agitational movement against the government if it didn’t free their head. An organization has also told that it would take out a national level rally on February 5, on the occasion of Kashmir day.
